Things to Do in Scottsdale for a Bachelorette Party (That Aren't Brunch)
Scottsdale is one of the top bachelorette destinations in the country, and for good reason. The weather works most of the year, Old Town is walkable, and there's no shortage of pools, patios, and places to eat.
But most itineraries end up looking the same: brunch, pool, dinner, Old Town. Fun — and almost identical to every other group's weekend.
Here's a list that mixes the classics with a few things most groups don't think of.
1. Record a Podcast Episode Together
This is the one nobody expects, and it's the one groups talk about afterward.
At BeKnown Studio, your group spends an hour in a real podcast studio — professional cameras, studio lighting, a microphone for every seat. A host runs the session, so nobody has to think about what to say. There are games and question cards built for bride parties: how you met, worst date stories, the stuff that actually makes people laugh.
You leave with a fully edited episode, studio photos, and short vertical clips for Instagram and TikTok.
Most bachelorette activities give you a few phone photos. This gives you something the bride can rewatch in ten years.
Sessions start at $390 for up to 4 people and $620 for up to 8. Book it as a group activity, or buy it as a gift for the bride.
2. Old Town Scottsdale
The obvious one, and still worth it. Walkable bars, restaurants, murals for photos, and enough variety that everyone finds something they like. Best as an evening, not a whole day.
3. A Pool Day
Most resorts offer day passes if you're not staying there. Great from March through October. Less great in July unless your group genuinely enjoys 110 degrees.
4. Hot Air Balloon Ride at Sunrise
Early start, but the desert at sunrise is genuinely beautiful and the photos are unmatched. Book ahead — these fill up on weekends.
5. Hike Camelback or Pinnacle Peak
Camelback is harder than it looks. Pinnacle Peak is friendlier and still gives you the views. Go early, bring more water than you think you need.
6. Desert Jeep or ATV Tour
Good for groups who'd rather do something than sit somewhere. Half-day tours are the sweet spot.
7. Spa Afternoon
Scottsdale has no shortage of good ones. Works best as a recovery activity on day two.
8. Wine or Cocktail Class
Structured, social, and everyone goes home having learned something. Easier to organize than it sounds.
How to Build the Weekend
A format that works well:
- Friday evening: dinner and Old Town
- Saturday morning: podcast session at the studio — everyone's fresh, well-rested, and the footage looks it
- Saturday afternoon: pool or spa
- Saturday night: the big dinner
- Sunday: brunch and a hike or balloon ride
Put the podcast session earlier in the weekend rather than later. Groups are sharper, the conversation is better, and you'll have clips to post while everyone's still in town.
Why a Podcast Session Works for a Bachelorette
Everyone's included. It's not a skill-based activity. Nobody is better or worse at it.
It's indoors and climate-controlled. In a Scottsdale summer, that matters more than you'd think.
You get something back. Most activities end when they end. This one gives you an edited episode, photos, and clips.
It works for groups up to 8. Everyone's part of the session — we film in smaller groups and rotate, rather than putting all eight on camera at once. It keeps the audio clean and gives everyone proper screen time.
It's a gift as much as an activity. Bridesmaids often buy the session for the bride.
